Compressing the Cash Register
Express Database Using
WinZip
You must have WinZip
installed on your computer before you follow these instructions. To download
WinZip95 click HERE.
1) Double click on the My Computer icon on your
desktop.
2) Double Click on the C: drive (or the drive letter
that you installed CRE 2000 on)
3) Then Click on the CRE2000 folder.
4) Then Click on the DATA2000 folder.
5) Using your right mouse button, click once on the
CRE2000.MDB file and choose Add to Zip.
6) In the Add to Archive, you may either use the
default directory and filename that you want to create or relocate and rename it. In
this example, it will compress your CRE2000.MDB file into a smaller file called
CRE2000.ZIP in the same directory (folder) as the original (CRE2000.MDB) file.
7) Once you see this box, this means that the job has
been completed. It will show a green light on the bottom right of the screen to
show that the file was compressed successfully.
8) Your CRE2000\DATA2000 folder should now contain
these two files.
