Cash Register
Express has a function that will allow you to restrict certain employees from
accessing certain features of CRE that you would not want them to use or view. Some
of these include viewing profit reports and changing prices.
1) To use the Password Functions Allowed
feature, you must first add a Cashier ID for your employee. To add
cashiers and set permissions, you must go into Employee
Maintenance. From the Log In screen, click File then Employee
Maintenance.
2) To access the
Permissions area, click on the Permissions tab in Employee
Maintenance.
3) Go through the list to
choose which permissions are to be turned on or off for each
cashier. If you want to give them access to as certain area,
choose Yes. To deny access, choose No. Choose Prompt if
you want to prompt for the administrator's password and choose
Override if this cashier has privileges to use that feature while
others do not. Click Update to save the changes.
